As Principal Project Officer, you will support the Office of the Chief Scientist in delivering on its responsibilities for science strategy leadership, science promotion, and science engagement.

You will be someone with highly developed communications skills combined with experience in project and stakeholder management, preferably in a science environment.

We have a temporary 12-month Principal Project Officer position available. It involves a range of communications-related and project management duties including:

  • Speech, brief and publication writing
  • Events management involving researchers engaging with the community and in schools
  • Stakeholder liaison including grant recipients, scientists, suppliers and the general public
  • Website, media and social media promotion
  • Grants communications.
