It is an exciting time for Griffith University and an exciting time to be a part of Digital Solutions. Digital Solutions collaborates across the University to deliver and support innovative solutions that align with the organisational goals in all areas of research, learning and teaching and administration.
A key part of Digital Solutions is the newly formed Change Delivery team (with a new Director, Change Delivery), 70+ professional, talented people who deliver technology-enabled outcomes to the Griffith Community. In close partnership with four Portfolio Boards – Supporting University Business, Research, Education and Engagement, and IT Infrastructure – each chaired by the relevant senior University Leader – the Portfolio Managers lead Program and Project teams to deliver technology enabled outcomes for their clients.
We are seeking a dynamic senior manager with the capability and experience to deliver Griffith’s Digital Strategy 2020 and beyond. In return, we offer an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the Project Management Office in Digital Solutions.
This is a senior professional position with responsibility to manage the Education portfolio of projects. It will work in close collaboration with the senior business leader of the portfolio (the DVC Academic) and the senior staff of that business leader. This position is responsible for ensuring the technology projects undertaken by the Portfolio are managed as investments that maximise the benefits for the portfolio.
This is a fixed term (5 years), full time position based at the Nathan campus.
You must have highly-developed consultation, influencing, negotiation and relationship management skills, with the ability to partner senior stakeholders across the University and represent Digital Solutions at all levels. You will be highly organised, have an eye for detail and be able to meet tight deadlines while working independently or leading project teams. The ability to proactively identify and address opportunities for improvement, problem solve, exercise initiative and work under broad direction will be very highly regarded. You will have demonstrated project management and business analysis skills; demonstrated ability to research and draft briefing and discussion papers; and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
To be successful in this position, it will be beneficial if you have experience in a Higher Education environment, and specifically, an understanding of the various aspects of the delivery and administration of teaching and learning domestically and internationally, and engagement with students and the university community.
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
