About Women in Technology Limited: 

Women in Technology Limited (WiT) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting, supporting, and advancing women in technology careers. We aim to foster a diverse and inclusive technology sector through mentoring, professional development, networking opportunities, and advocacy. 

Appointment: 

The Board wishes to appoint a Volunteer Treasurer to support the Finance Director and General Manager in financial management of the organisation. The Treasurer will oversee the financial affairs of WiT and ensure its financial health, transparency and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.  

Responsibilities: 

Financial Management: 

• Oversee preparation and presentation of budgets & monthly accounts. 

• Monitor the financial performance of the organisation and provide regular updates to the Finance Director. 

• Support General Manager to implement and manage appropriate financial systems and controls. 

Budgeting and Planning: 

• Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the General Manager and Finance Director. 

• Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies and plans. 

Compliance and Reporting: 

• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and legal requirements. 

Record Keeping: 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. 

• Ensure the safekeeping and accessibility of financial documentation. 

Qualifications: 

• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a related field. 

• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles. 

• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. 

• Proficiency in financial software and tools. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Experience in NFP sector is highly desirable. 

• A commitment to the mission and values of WiT. 

Time Commitment: 

Estimated eight (8) hours per month including meetings with Finance Director and General Manager.
