About the Role

The Digital & Information Services branch delivers agile and transformative information and technology, enabling council to be a leader in providing innovative and sustainable services to its communities.

The IT Contract Officer will deliver ICT contract management and administration to ensure strong governance and compliance that aligns with corporate priorities and strategies. This includes ensuring all ICT contracts meet minimum standards to deliver sustainable, commercially sound and acceptable contracts.

As the successful candidate, you will assist with the ongoing development and maintenance of the ICT contract management framework to ensure best practice and industry trends are achieved across Council in all aspects (end to end lifecycle) and provide advice and training to Council business areas in relation to ICT contract management.

About you

As a requirement of this role, you will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or other related field and/or other relevant experience preferably working for a large diverse organisation.

To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated ability to manage ICT contracts (Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) / Government Information Technology Contracting (GITC).

You will have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate persuasively and strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to initiate process improvement.
