We now have an exciting opportunity available for a DevOps Platform Engineer based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane on a full-time permanent basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimising, and integrating the DevOps toolchain to enable cloud and application engineering teams to achieve their platform, automation, and operational objectives. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the toolchain integrates seamlessly into CI/CD workflows while upholding reliability, security, and efficiency. This position demands technical expertise in managing and enhancing tools, ensuring compliance, driving automation initiatives, and empowering engineering teams to fully leverage the toolchain's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Toolchain Management: Administer and optimise tools like GitLab, Terraform, Prisma, Vault, Nexus and Test Automation to ensure security, performance, and stability.
- CI/CD Integration: Build and maintain reusable CI/CD pipeline templates and scripts, integrating the full toolchain for automation and efficiency.
- Enablement and Support: Provide training, documentation and troubleshooting support for engineers to ensure effective tool usage and compliance with best practices.
- Automation: Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes.
- Proactive Monitoring: Monitor and resolve performance and reliability issues across AWS cloud platforms and toolchains.
Your background
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
- Advanced experience with DevSecOps frameworks, best practices and standards
- Expansive skills in designing, building, integrating, administering and optimising toolchains such as GitLab, Terraform Enterprise, Vault, Prisma and Nexus.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation frameworks, scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) and reliability engineering concepts, with demonstrable outcomes in an environment that has driven these outcomes
- Familiarity with AWS and data platforms like Databricks
