Job Description

The IaaS Product team (Infrastructure as a Service) delivers secure, highly available infrastructure including Windows, Unix, VMware, Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS, Server and Storage. In this role, you’ll be focused on Windows servers, Active Directory and Azure cloud ecosystems.

The role is a senior technical role focused on managing existing systems, developing and building new pipelines, automations and platforms to streamline management.

You will be performing and have experience in below:

  • Experience in DevOps, developing pipelines and automations using tools like Ansible, Terraform, JSON, DevOps, Gitlab and repositories.
  • Experience in one or more relevant programming languages e.g. PowerShell, Python or similar
  • Experience in using APIs.
  • Experience and/or qualification in Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a large enterprise Microsoft Windows server environment
  • Experience in using SCCM, SCOM, Active Directory, Group Policy.
  • The ability to recognise opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement.
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work on projects and collaborate with teams to achieve success.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an agile environment well regarded.

About you

To be successful in the role you will be an experienced, versatile, highly motivated IT professional with relevant qualifications and a background in developing and deploying pipelines or automations within a large complex environment. Enjoy working in a collaborative team. Have demonstrated technical leadership, excellent customer service skills together with well-developed written and verbal communication skills are essential.

This is a continuing position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan  campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

HEW 8 Salary - Base range -$108,764.25 - $122,356.68 + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $127,254.18 - $143,157.32
