About the role

At the NHVR we approve innovative heavy vehicle designs through the Performance Based Standards (PBS) scheme which allows our customers to improve productivity and safety through innovative and optimised vehicle design. We are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our transformation team.

As the Project and Change Manager your remit is to transition the end-to-end PBS business process update to an enhanced digital system in the NHVR portal. You’ll bring your experience managing digital change with internal and external users and customers. You’ll deliver successful process uplift and imbed process transformation.

Reporting to the Program Lead for PBS Transformation you will be supported by a small project team along with cross collaboration and support by the Data and Technology division.

This is a full-time contract position till 2026.

 

About you

To be successful in this role it’s important that you have:

  • Demonstrated track record in successful delivery of digital transformation projects within a regulatory or similar environment.
  • Ability to identify, define and manage project scope priorities
  • Experience in project and change management leadership including ability to come up to speed with complex technical content and business requirements.
  • Well-developed analytical, problem solving and organisational skills with an ability to meet priorities, competing deadlines and use of sound judgement in decision making.
  • A high-level of interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • A customer focused approach with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
