We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Network Segmentation Specialist in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney or Brisbane on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Technology Services &Operation (TS&O) you will responsibility for Disaster Recovery exercises and need to understand the critical asset list of IT services, applications, and suppliers. Within this role you will work closely with various stakeholders including but not limited to project and business stakeholders, Business Continuity Management Governance group and suppliers to enhance the efficiency and success of the ITDR Framework.

The location for this role is flexible and hybrid; we will consider locations all over Australia and/or home office. We will also consider job share arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage network security technologies, including firewall security, endpoint-based network segmentation tools, and other security products.
  • Take responsibility for Disaster Recovery exercises and understand the critical asset list of IT services, applications, and suppliers.
  • Design operational processes, procedures, alerts, and policies for segmentation controls.
  • Work with product owners, IT infrastructure support, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with Business Continuity Management and Governance groups to enhance ITDR Framework efficiency.
  • Support next-gen firewall, IDS, IPS, proxy, and threat protection solutions.
  • Identify, install, configure, tune, and maintain network security and segmentation solutions such as Illumio.

Your background

  • knowledge of Zero Trust Network Architecture concepts and micro/macro segmentation.
  • Ability to implement Network Security controls such as Palo Alto, Illumio, or network intrusion prevention technologies.
  • knowledge of Zero Trust Network Architecture concepts and micro/macro segmentation.
  • Proficiency with security technologies including endpoint detection, response scanning, packet capture analysis, and similar tools.
  • Experience with change control processes and stakeholder engagement across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of security policy construction and publication.
  • Experience with a mature security operations centre (SOC) team.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ITIL foundation accreditation.
