About the role

An excellent opportunity is now available for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team. Your focus will be to provide the strategic direction of our technology architecture.

You will partner with business leaders to build and implement an innovative technology roadmap that helps solve complex business challenges and supports the delivery of our digital strategy. As a business facing position you will be hands on in making a difference to our leader’s systems journey. As a credible, trusted adviser you will have the opportunity to work with external agencies including local and state government.

Reporting to the Director Technology Strategy & Architecture you will be supported by a professional team to create an environment that inspires innovation while meeting business objectives to mature our enterprise and solutions architecture practices.

This role will suit a strategic and astute technology professional who is inspired to deliver transformational change.

About You

As the ideal candidate, you will have extensive experience working in a similar Enterprise Architecture role at a senior level including driving transformational change where consolidation of technologies and alignment of data was a key imperative.

As an organisationally astute big picture thinker, you can balance long term and short-term implications of decisions against organisational goals.

With strong technology foundations, your background will include cloud technologies, platforms, integrations, applications, open data and information management across a range of sectors.

With fantastic interpersonal and engagement skills, you enjoy managing competing stakeholder interests, can foster strong collaborative partnerships and establish yourself as a trusted advisor through your action orientated problem solving.

About Us

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) commenced operations in 2013 as the national entity responsible for regulating all vehicles in Australia over 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass. The NHVR minimises the compliance burden on the heavy vehicle transport industry, reduces duplication and inconsistences across state and territory borders, and ultimately for the heavy vehicle business with government in Australia.

We are headquartered in Brisbane and employ more than 750 people across the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria.
