About the role
This key role works with internal and external stakeholders to assist in the preparation of management reports, financial modelling and the end-to-end budget process providing high quality decision support services across SRA.
The Assistant Management Accountant provides direct, high-level support to the Senior Management Accountant to achieve project outcomes. This role has access to confidential information and always requires absolute tact and discretion.

  • Support the delivery of SRA’s annual budget process
  • Support the delivery of SRA’s forecast process
  • Support the preparation of the management reporting including Board and Audit and Risk Commitee reporting
  • Financial performance monitoring and detailed variance analysis
  • Preparation of project costing and applicable business cases
  • Adhoc financial modeling and report development
  • Preparation of allocations including labour and overheads
  • Work with other business units to ensure accurate variance analysis data
  • Facilitate accurate and timely completion of Financial Acquittals and progress reports for external funding bodies
  • Foster strong relationships with the various business areas by contributing to a customer service culture within the Finance team
  • Support the delivery of a new ERP
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required.

About you
You will bring the following experience, knowledge and capabilities:

  • 1+ year related practical experience
  • Intermediate/Advanced financial modelling skills using Microsoft Excel
  • Embrace change management, supporting process and system improvement
  • Effective time management and attention to detail
  • Strong customer focus and business partnering capability
  • Budget process
  • Management reporting
  • Microsoft Dynamics, Tech 1 or similar ERP systems
  • Data analytics
  • Microsoft Power BI.
