Dr Qin Li is a Senior Lecturer, Griffith School of Engineering and Project Leader, Queensland Micro-and Nanotechnology Centre, Griffith University. Dr Li obtained her PhD in 2002 and has established herself as a world-leading researcher in nanomaterials and nanotechnology. She was awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship in 2006 and worked at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research. Dr Li and her team have developed various carbon nanomaterials, in particular luminescent carbon nanodots and graphene quantum dots for environmental monitoring, signal amplification, lighting devices and bioimaging. Her work is instrumental to the new 3D display development which was featured in Nature Communications in 2015. Dr. Li is a well published researcher with a h-index of 21 and has authored 4 patents and was a winner of Curtin Innovation Commendation Award in 2009.
